Brunch in Moscow
Moscow is an enormous metropolis offering the widest choice of entertainment to its residents. And while you can have a festive time any day of the week, the variety of entertainment options for your entire family is particularly large on weekends. Recently, Moscow has seen an increase in popularity of brunch and many of Moscow’s western-style restaurants and hotels now offer brunch on weekends.
The word brunch is a portmanteau word combining the words “breakfast” and “lunch” which aptly describes this hybrid late-morning meal. Brunch apparently got its start in England in the late part of the 19th century, and credit for proposing the meal goes to Guy Beringer. In 1895, Beringer wrote an essay in which he advocated for “a new meal served around noon” that starts with “tea or coffee, marmalade and other breakfast fixtures before moving on to heavier fare.” Beringer praised this meal as “cheerful, sociable and…talk-compelling,” and wrote that it “sweeps away the cobwebs of the week.”
Today, brunch provides an excellent opportunity to spend time with your family and friends.While there are many brunch options available in Moscow, we believe a comfortable, all-inclusive atmosphere is important. Keeping this in mind, we have designed our brunch to be fun and entertaining for your whole family.
The Korston Sunday Brunch truly is a great way to turn an ordinary Sunday into a festive one! Our brunch is served in our unique Place de Paris hall, which re-creates a typical Parisian city square under a blue sky. Our buffet brunch includes vodka and semi-sweet champagne. Other alcoholic beverages are available for an additional charge, or, if you prefer, you may also bring your own wine or champagne.
For your children’s entertainment, we have a playroom set up in one of the adjacent banquet halls. Our professional staff members watch over your children and lead them in various games and competitions. They also prepare your children to give a little performance on the Place de Paris stage at the end of the brunch. Each performance is unique and always designed to ensure your child has a good time on stage.
Speaking of fun for your children, if you decide to host your child’s birthday party of more than 10 guests at one of our brunches, we will offer discounted pricing on the entry tickets and some special surprises for the birthday child.
